Every child is an artist with a story to tell, and their earliest form of expression is through images. Before they develop language, drawing becomes their way of communicating what they can't explain in words. We've seen issues arise when a child struggles to express themselves, and if we wait until they are 9 or 10 to address this, it can become a barrier to their communication.
Since O' Hen Art Studio's establishment in 2020, our mission has been to nurture children's imagination and encourage free expression. O' Hen Kid represents the creativity and limitless possibilities in every child, today and in the future.
Expression is more than just speaking—it's about conveying things that can't be said through words but can be shared through drawings. With early guidance, children can develop this visual language and continue to embrace it as they grow.
Each child sees the world differently, and their art reflects that. Their use of colors, shapes, and lines is not like ours. While we might see a perfect circle, they may draw it imperfectly, but that doesn't mean they don't understand the shape. It simply shows their own way of expression.
As parents, guardians, and mentors, we must observe rather than judge. If a child paints the grass pink because it's their favorite color, that’s their language. It’s not wrong; it’s how they understand the world. We should respect their memory and let them express freely, knowing that they are building their understanding of the world in their own way. We can’t control what they create; we can only encourage their growth.
Let’s continue to observe, guide, and celebrate their creativity, knowing that through their eyes, the world becomes a place of endless possibilities.
